KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KNUST), GHANA
In 2013 and 2014 EduTeq was awarded multiple contracts to supply chemical and petrochemical engineering equipment to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana, under the World Bank funded Oil and Gas Capacity Building Project (OGCBP).
The overall objective was to facilitate the teaching and training of skilled professionals for the Oil and Gas industry in Ghana in order to address the shortage of adequately trained technicians and engineers in the local labour market.
As part of this project EduTeq supplied and delivered specialist equipment, and performed the installation, commissioning and training in the following areas:

- Specialised Laboratory Equipment

For the following laboratories:
Drilling Fluid Lab:
including digital lubricity testers, variable speed electronic rheometers, roller ovens, spindle multi-mixers, dynamic HTHP filter press, and pressurized viscometer with automation
Fluid Properties Lab:
including a PVT system (student module), rolling ball viscometer, density/specific gravity meter, charging cart, equilibrium flash separator, constant temperature viscosity bath, digital tensiometer, and dual range cryoscope
Specialised Laboratory Equipment:
including a batch (conventional) dryer, centrifugal pump system, flame photometer, and ion chromatograph (IC)
EduTeq’s highly experienced project management team provided installation and commissioning on site to ensure all equipment was fully operational and trained KNUST’s faculty in the operation, maintenance, and health and safety aspects to ensure the sustainability of the laboratories.
